
Blue Leotards
Class Description
The Blue Leotard program is suitable for serious dancers with a solid technical background. This program caters to dancers desiring a structured program, with instruction on a high intensity level. Dancers are challenged to push their selves to high levels in all technique classes, individual artistry, and choreography. Private one on one sessions with an instructor of your choice are required monthly. In this program, the focus is set on identifying students dance strengthens, while working to improve and perfect the weaker areas. Along with several performance and production opportunities, dancers in this group will begin to merge together the techniques learned in classes with the experience learned through performances to lend to a strong, solid dancer.

Tuesdays | 6:45-7:15pm
Contemporary Ballet
This class engages the intermediate/advanced dancers. Emerged with many attributes, ideas, and innovations of 20th-century modern dance, this class infuses classical Ballet techniques along with floor barre work. Students will expand into movements in turnout, expanding combinations, multiple pirouettes and complicated jumps and leaps.

Modern
Created for the intermediate/advanced dancer, this class expands on traditional ballet technique, while encompassing the
exciting world of total body involvement and creative expression.
Students will learn technique (dance steps and combinations) through
inventive, exciting, original choreography that is structured specifically for their ability level.

Afro Jazz
Blending together Caribbean, African, South African Marabi, Swing, and Jazz dance genres, this style of dance is rooted in traditional African dance and music, but incorporates technical
elements such as turns, jumps, and partnered moves. Students will be
challenged to become proficient in this genre.

Choreography
Students will learn performance choreography in various genres. Participants will have the opportunity to work with different choreographers to compose complete dance pieces.

Intermediate Contemporary
Structured for the 12+ year old dancer, this uniquely creative class will challenge students to discover the voice of dance through a fusion of various techniques. In addition to learning complex movement phrases, emphasis is placed on partner work, improvisation and phrase composition.

Advanced Contemporary
